Sikran, Captain of the Sureki – Boss Overview

Sikran is the third boss encounter in the Nerub’ar Palace raid. This fight is all about spatial awareness and efficient add management as the boss uses both area-of-effect (AoE) attacks and player-targeted abilities.

Main Abilities

• Phase Blades (All Roles): Sikran marks several players and dashes through them, spawning Cosmic Simulacrum at each location.
• Decimate (All Roles): Sikran targets multiple players, firing a laser that destroys Cosmic Simulacrum, dealing AoE damage and leaving a DoT effect.
• Shattering Sweep (All Roles): A wide-area sweep that deals heavy damage and detonates remaining Cosmic Simulacrum.
• Captain’s Flourish (Tanks): Sikran performs a tank-swap combo by casting Expose twice followed by Phase Lunge.

Sikran – Short Guide

• All Roles: Dodge the lasers from Decimate, and move out of the way of Phase Blades to avoid spawning extra adds.

• Tanks: Manage the tank-swap mechanic from Captain’s Flourish. Position Sikran to avoid leaving Cosmic Simulacrum near the raid, and swap when hit with Expose.
• Healers: Prepare for steady raid-wide damage from Cosmic Simulacrum, and burst damage during Shattering Sweep. Be ready for frequent dispels.
• DPS: Focus on clearing Cosmic Simulacrum with Decimate beams. Make sure to limit the number of active adds before Shattering Sweep hits.

Sikran – Boss Guide for Nerub-ar Palace
(Normal, Heroic, and Mythic)

Phase 1: The Cosmic Duelist

The fight begins with Phase Blades, targeting multiple players. Sikran dashes through these players, leaving Cosmic Simulacrum at each impact point. These adds deal persistent raid-wide damage until they are destroyed. Managing the placement of these simulacra and removing them efficiently is crucial to minimize raid-wide damage.

Next, Sikran casts Decimate, targeting players and firing a laser beam that destroys Cosmic Simulacrum, causing AoE damage. The goal is to guide the Decimate beam through simulacra without hitting too many at once, as each destroyed add leaves behind a damage-over-time debuff.

Shattering Sweep follows after two casts of Phase Blades and Decimate. This is a wide-area attack that deals massive damage to anyone nearby and detonates any remaining Cosmic Simulacrum, causing additional AoE damage. Positioning away from these adds and managing their destruction is crucial to avoid wiping the raid.

Role Responsibilities

Tanks:

• Captain’s Flourish forces a tank swap after two applications of Expose. One tank should take both Expose hits using a defensive cooldown, while the other tank taunts Sikran before Phase Lunge is cast. Ensure Sikran is facing away from the raid, and avoid positioning him near any Cosmic Simulacrum.

Healers:

• Be prepared for constant ticking damage from Cosmic Simulacrum and major burst damage during Shattering Sweep. Quick dispels and consistent raid healing are necessary to handle these mechanics. Additionally, watch out for players affected by Decimate, which will cause extra damage.

DPS:

• Focus on managing the Cosmic Simulacrum adds. Use Decimate to destroy them, but be cautious not to trigger too many detonations at once. Prioritize removing adds before Shattering Sweep to reduce incoming raid damage.

All Roles:

• Players targeted by Phase Blades should move to the edges of the room to reduce the impact area of Cosmic Simulacrum spawns.
• Dodge Decimate beams to avoid unnecessary damage and ensure the beams hit Cosmic Simulacrum in a controlled manner.

Mythic Mode Enhancements

Shattering Sweep deals significantly more damage, making it even more important to clear adds before this ability is cast.

Phase Blades targets additional players, increasing the number of Cosmic Simulacrum spawned.
